Overview

Nectir is an ed-tech company that enables schools to deploy AI-powered academic assistants directly inside their Learning Management Systems (LMS). As the platform evolved from its early chat product into Nectir AI, the company needed a stable, scalable, and compliance-ready technical foundation to support rapid institutional adoption.

Challenge

Before working with Inventeer, Nectir faced major operational constraints:

  • Infrastructure had passed through 13 DevOps professionals, creating inconsistent patterns and recurring failures.

  • GCP Autopilot produced scaling issues, deployment errors, and rising cloud costs.

  • No formal security or compliance program existed, despite rapidly increasing expectations from schools.

  • Performance instability affected product demonstrations and early onboarding, slowing commercial growth.

Nectir needed a long-term engineering partner capable of stabilizing operations and preparing the platform for enterprise-level expansion.

Our Approach

Inventeer joined Nectir in late 2022, beginning with stabilizing the legacy chat infrastructure and quickly shifting focus to architecting and scaling the company’s new flagship product — Nectir AI.

Stabilizing the Early Platform

We redesigned the foundational infrastructure, improved reliability, and resolved long-standing deployment issues so the engineering team could refocus on product innovation.

Architecting Nectir AI for Scale

  • Designed Nectir AI’s infrastructure from scratch, enabling secure, high-volume AI interactions.

  • Implemented scalable Kubernetes architecture, GitOps with ArgoCD, and optimized CI/CD pipelines.

  • Integrated Azure-based OpenAI services with strict security controls.

  • Tuned databases and runtime performance for large institutional workloads.

Security & Compliance Leadership

Inventeer built Nectir AI’s entire compliance program, enabling the company to:

  • Achieve SOC 2 Type I and Type II certification

  • Complete HECVAT and publish a full Trust Center

  • Prepare for GDPR and additional educational privacy frameworks
     

We authored all key governance documents, implemented security controls, and established continuous risk-management processes.
